Playwright and director Elsa Bontempelli shares, through her “What Are We Playing At?” video series, the questions, discoveries and creative methods she has developed over nearly a decade of artistic work.
What Are We Playing At?
For nearly ten years, every production has been an opportunity to learn, make mistakes, find solutions and discover new ways of creating.
These videos grew out of a desire to share that experience with other artists, creators and anyone passionate about live performance. They explore everything from directing and production to writing, innovation and the everyday challenges faced by anyone who chooses to bring an artistic project to life.
If some of these reflections can shed light on a question, spark an idea or simply support others along their own creative journey, then these conversations will have served their purpose.
“What Are We Playing At?” is a series of short videos, each under a minute, exploring creativity and live performance.
